Nightwatch is seeking a passionate and experienced engineering lead to build and empower a high-performing engineering team. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping our technical direction, driving innovation, and fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
We're looking for someone who:
- Thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and enjoys the challenge of building something from the ground up.
- Possesses strong leadership and management skills with a minimum of 2 years experience leading and mentoring an engineering team.
- Has a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Demonstrates exceptional technical expertise with 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Effectively communicates complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Embraces a culture of continuous learning and is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
- Prioritizes building a strong team culture that fosters collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a growing engineering team, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Define technical roadmaps, set priorities, and ensure efficient project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design) to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Identify and implement best practices for code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
- Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation to identify and implement new technologies.
- Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent.
- Set, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure engineering team effectiveness.
